NEW YORK (Reuters) – The US electronics giant, Apple Inc., has announced a decline in its earnings in the third quarter of this year compared to the same period last year.
Net earnings for the third quarter of the year amounted to $ 10.04 billion, or $ 2.18 per share, compared to $ 11.52 billion, or $ 2.34 per share, for the same period previous year.
Analysts forecast earnings per share of $ 2.10.
At the same time, the company's revenue rose 1 percent to $ 53.81 billion in the third quarter of this year, up from $ 53.27 billion for the same period last year.
