Tunisian boxer Maysa Abbasi has preferred losing to facing Israeli competition at the International Boxing Championship in Russia.
After a draw against Israeli boxing in the advanced 69kg category, Abbasi, 20, decided not to run on Tuesday, refusing to qualify for the ring before the match to lose.
Tunisian international boxing referee Halim Sbadi commented on Facebook the withdrawal of his compatriot: "Maysa Abbbadi, a Tunisian national boxing player, is a promising boxer with all her abilities, she drew a lot for an Israeli player during of an international tournament in Russia, "
The Tunisian Boxing Federation has not yet issued a statement on the incident.
