New York The Wall Street S & P 500 slightly outweighed its initial losses on Wednesday after posting heavy losses. Investors then bought shares that sold heavily and bond yields recovered from extremely low levels, threatening a recession.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed the session down 22.45 points, or 0.09%, to 26,007.07, while the Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 2.21 points, or 0.08%, at 2 883.98.
The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 29.56 points, or 0.38%, to 7,862.83.
