On Thursday, August 1, Aston Villa announced the signing of Tom Highton of Burnley, without revealing the value and duration of the contract.
Heaton started his career at Manchester United, but spent his first time in several clubs in Britain before settling in Cardiff City.
After a short spell in Bristol City, he moved to Burnley in the summer of 2013, where he became Burnley captain and was named best player of the 2016/17 season.
