Australian Prime Minister calls on Thailand to release Oreibi

CANBERRA, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) – Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has urged his Thai counterpart to intervene in the case of detained football player Hakim Oreibi, local media reported Tuesday evening.

Morrison sent a letter to Thai Prime Minister Priut Chan-Ocha demanding the release of the arrested player and his request for extradition to Bahrain, Fairfax press firm said.
