The French Olympique de Marseille have decided to end the contract of defender Adel Rami after escaping from his training to participate in a clay wrestling competition on reality TV.
Rami told his club that he had been injured and unable to train, but that he was seen at Fort Boyar while he was attending a wrestling competition. The Marseille lawyers met with representatives of Adel Rami and asked them to terminate the contract of the latter, 33 years old.
This was not the first incident for the player this year. Rami was absent from training after separating from the famous star Pamela Anderson, forcing Marseille to take disciplinary action against him because he was not on the horizon to prepare.
Rami has played for Valencia and Seville in Spain and AC Milan in Italy. He wore a Lille jersey in France and was a finalist at the 2018 World Cup in France.
