Broadcom has agreed to buy Symantec's business services business for $ 10.7 billion in cash.
The deal, which was expected for the end of the first fiscal quarter for Broadcom in January, comes less than a month after the two companies failed to complete a full merger.
According to Bloomberg, the acquisition of Symantec's enterprise services business is the second largest software transaction by Broadcom, following the acquisition of CA Technologies last year. Broadcom CEO Hawk Tak is looking to develop software badets after a series of acquisitions in chip companies.
