By Hend Sabri … Arab stars at the International Festivals Arbitration

Tunisian actress # Hend_Sabri has announced her selection as the jury of the best awards of the 76th edition of the Venice International Film Festival, one of the three most important film festivals in the world, to be held from August 28th. to September 7th.

Sabri announced, via her account on "Intgram", that she was happy to choose, hoping to be a good ambbadador of Arab art at the world's oldest film festival.

Hind Sabri was not the first Arab artist to be selected by international festivals, she was preceded by a large number of stars, led by Nadine Labaki, who chaired the jury "Un certain regard" at the Cannes Film Festival.

Egyptian singer Yusra, director Amr Salama and producer and sitarist Mohamed Hafsa have been selected as jury members for the Academy Awards this year, according to the official website of the American Academy of Arts and Cinema. For the various departments of the Academy, directed, represented and produced, among which Yousra in the list of actors, Amr Salama in the list of directors and Mohammad Hefzi among the producers.

Hind Sabri was not the first Arab artist to be part of the Venetian Judges Committee, she was preceded by actress Nelly Karim, who had joined the jury of the contest "Kaka" held three years ago.

The festival saw the presence of 3 Egyptians among the jury members of previous courses: the late international director Youssef Chahine, the critic Samir Farid and the actor Amr Waked.

At the Berlin Film Festival in 2017, Saudi director Mahmoud Al-Sabbagh and producer Durrat Bouchoucha were selected as the best judges of the first film.
