According to badysts, the new tariff, which the US president has threatened to impose on China, of 10%, could result in a reduction in sales of iPhone devices in the United States next year, between 6 and 8 million devices.
The decline in iPhone sales could reduce Apple's profits by 4% by 2020, said Dan Evis, technology badyst at Wedbush Securities.
