Chronic fatigue syndrome is a fact

LONDON (Reuters) – According to a British study, chronic fatigue syndrome is a real condition caused by a hyperactive immune system.

But scientists now think they have found an explanation for the great fatigue of some, and the findings are based on a study of patients with hepatitis, according to researchers at the London Institute of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at King's College. C.

Thirty percent of them, when they received a treatment called interferon alpha, had symptoms of fatigue that reflected the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome. The treatment stimulates the immune system in the same way as a strong infection.

"For the first time, people prone to a condition like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome have a hyperactive immune system before and during a challenge to the immune system," said Alice Russell of the London Institute of Psychiatry and Neuroscience of the King's Middle School.

Chronic fatigue syndrome is a serious symptom of long-term physical and mental fatigue and affects up to 17 million people worldwide and about 25,000 people in Britain.

The victim is often bedridden and unable to start daily activities such as washing and feeding.
