"We will not hire a foreign coach," Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said about choosing the next Egyptian coach.
Al-Sisi said at the seventh youth conference in the administrative capital: "In my meeting with sports minister Ashraf Subhi, he badured me that the next coach of the Egyptian team would be Egyptian."
"Why do not we trust the Egyptian coach? We must give the opportunity, we must deal with seriously and impartially and not compliment and choose anything to ensure success."
"It does not make sense that we can not get 1,000 good footballers out of a population of 100 million," he added.
"This is the responsibility of the Ministries of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of the Interior, who are responsible for determining the date," he added.
"We now have a good system of security and regulation to enter the crowd, and we saw it at the 2019 Africa Nations Cup."
Mexican coach Javier Aguirre left Egypt after the Africa Cup of Nations trophy, won by South Africa.
After the departure of Ajiri, many names were named to take over the Egyptian national team, led by the appointed national coaches, the duo Hbadan Shehata and Hussam Badri.
