Diego Costa, striker Diego Atletico Madrid, is injured in the left thigh.
"Costa is suffering from a broken left thigh and the club is waiting for a final badessment of the details of the injury," Atletico said in a statement. Costa is still serving an eight-match ban for his actions against referee Gil Manzano in last season's match against Barcelona.
