Napoli defender Calido Culebali will return to Serie A on Saturday for the first time since his racial insult in a match at San Siro.
Coulibaly, considered one of the best defenders of the Italian league, has become a symbol of anti-racist efforts of Italian football since the incident of late 2018.
The Senegalese defender was racially insulted by some supporters of Inter Milan before being ejected in the 81st minute after receiving a warning after his intervention against Matteo Bolitano, but was sent off under applause.
After the match with 10 players, Napoli was beaten in stoppage of play, losing 0-1.
Inter was suspended for the next two home games without supporters, while Coulibaly was suspended for two games.
Since the winter break, Coulibaly has not played in a league game.
Following the events, the Italian Football Federation gave referees further instructions on how to deal with racist incidents during matches.
Coincidentally, the return of Coulibaly will be in a match against Inter Milan on the same field, San Siro.
