Manchester United has appointed Frank de Boer, who has already coached Ajax Amsterdam and Inter, and the Dutchman will replace Tata Martino, who announced in October that he would leave Atlanta after winning his first title club.
De Boer, 48, former defender of the Netherlands, Ajax in Amsterdam and Barcelona, was part of the Premier League with Crystal Palace, but only four matches were contested.
"Frank de Boer has great experience as a coach and player and we are looking forward to welcoming him to the club," said Atlanta President Darren Ellis in a statement.
