A member of the Fatah movement died of his wounds on Friday after being shot in the refugee camp of Ein al-Hilweh, in southern Lebanon, during a demonstration against the decision of Ministry of Labour.

Hbadan al-Din, nicknamed "Khomeini", has died as a result of his injuries, the official news agency said.

According to her, the camp was cautiously calm, after intermittent clashes between relatives of the deceased and the group Arqoub, an armed Islamist group, accused by the family of the badbadination.

Earlier, the head of "Fatah", General Munir al-Muqdah, deputy commander of the Palestinian National Security in Lebanon, said in a statement that "Alaa Eddin" was seriously injured during a demonstration rejecting the decision of the Lebanese Ministry of Labor in the camp of Ain el-Hilweh.

He added: "A member of the movement was shot dead by a masked man and transferred to Labib hospital in the southern city of Sidon before confirming the news and his death later." .

He explained that the Palestinian high security committee was meeting to discuss the situation while searching for the elements of the offender, in the middle of the mobilization inside the camp.

Al-Maqdah said that the victim was the son of a Fatah leader and the brother of a member of the Islamic League of Ansar, one of the Salafist movements of the camp.

Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon are witnessing protests against the Ministry of Labor's decision to impose a work permit for Palestinian refugees for the third day in a row.

Ain al-Hilweh's camp is also witnessing intermittent security tensions between Palestinian factions inside and badbadinations of Palestinian security officials.

It should be noted that the Lebanese Labor Ministry began earlier in July the implementation of a plan to regulate the working conditions of foreign workers, including Palestinians living in Lebanon.

According to the plan, employers are prohibited from exploiting Palestinian refugees without a permit, as well as from closing down Palestinian institutions and facilities that do not have the necessary permits to work.
