(Reuters) – Gasoline demand in the US jumped 281,000 barrels a day to a record 9.93 million barrels a day last week, according to data from the US Energy Information Administration published Wednesday.
On the other hand, the data showed that crude oil inventories in the US Midwest declined by 3.3 million barrels last week, to settle at 132.6 million barrels, its most low level since the end of January.
Inventories of distillates, including diesel and fuel oil, increased 944,000 barrels to 47.2 million barrels, the highest level since March 2018.
