Hussein Al Shahat and Yahya Nader, two players from the United Arab Emirates, achieved a historic feat after becoming the first Egyptians to reach the final of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Al Ain has qualified for the tournament final with an impressive 5-4 River Plate victory on penalties after a draw in the original time and an extra 2-2 win.
Al Ain will face the winner of the Kashima Antlers and Real Madrid in the final.
Hussein Al-Shahat wrote his own number in the final match. He was the first Egyptian player to score in World Cup clubs away from Ahli, after scoring a goal against Tunisia's hope.
Third place was the best for the Egyptians at the FIFA World Cup when Al Ahly defeated Club America of Mexico in the 2006 Japan edition.
