The use of malware designed to collect digital user data, called pbadword theft tools, has seen a significant increase in 2019.
According to data released by Kaspersky, the number of targeted users of pbadword theft tools has increased from less than 600,000 in the first half of 2018 to more than 940,000 users over the same period in 2019.
