Direct: Eni's profit fell in the second quarter of this year, contrary to expectations, with the decline in oil production.

The Italian energy company announced Friday a decline in its profits of 562 million euros (626 million dollars) in June, against 767 million euros in the same quarter in 2018.

Analysts were expecting an increase in the company's profits of $ 950 million.

In April-June, Eni's oil equivalent production was 1.83 million barrels a day, down about 2%.

Eni is currently forecasting an increase in oil and gas production of 2% to 2.5% this year.

Cash flow from the energy company's operating growth increased 43% to € 3.5 billion in the quarter ending in June.

By 1110 GMT, Eni had lost 0.6%.
