FAW Volkswagen recalls defective Audi cars on the Chinese market – China.org.cn

BEIJING, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) – FAW Volkswagen, a Sino-German joint venture, will recall 4605 Audi A4Ls because of the risk of fuel leakage, the State Regulatory Affairs Administration said.

The recall, which begins Aug. 16, concerns some of the Audi A4L cars manufactured locally between April 28, 2016 and September 20, 2018, the department said in a statement posted on its official website.

The statement pointed out that the disruption of the production line could result in the removal of many screws in the fuel system of the cars mentioned over time, resulting in a risk of fuel and fire leakage.

The company announced that it would install defective screws free of charge in damaged cars.
