MADRID (Reuters) – Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaelen will be out for about a month after his calf injury, announced Monday in Barcelona.
Vermalen was injured on Sunday when his team beat Levante 5-0 in La Liga. After a medical visit Monday, he suffered a muscle injury to the right calf, according to a statement from the Catalan club.
The club noted that the absence of Vermaelen stadium "will last about a month," according to Agence France-Presse.
