FIFA named former Saudi player Sami Al Jaber for the FIFA Club World Cup on the pitch before the start of Saturday's final between Al Ain and Real Madrid.
Al Jaber is currently a member of the FIFA Status Committee, as well as an advisor to the General Authority for Sport (GCAA) and Head of International Relations.
Al-Hilal striker and former teammate participated before his retirement at four World Cups in 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2006 and played with 163 international caps.
