More than 3.5 billion people worldwide have attended the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, announced the International Football Association (FIFA).

FIFA announced that 3,572 billion people watched the tournament, organized by Russia from June 14 to July 15, on television, on digital platforms, in areas of collective vision or in bars and restaurants.

The number of viewers represents 51.3% of the world population aged over four years.

FIFA revealed that the last match between the French and Croatian teams gathered 1.12 billion people, even one minute of the match.
