The high cost of living in London aggravates these benefits.
The cities were ranked according to a number of factors, including the number of universities, the quality of their performances, the job opportunities offered by the operators, the cost of living, the quality of life, the diversity of student backgrounds and other factors such as security, pollution levels and corruption in cities.
The views of more than 87,000 current and future students from outside the cities involved are also taken into account.
The best Arab cities for students are Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, ranked 60th, followed by Abu Dhabi (88), Beirut 101 and Cairo 107.
