EFG-Hermes announced on Sunday that the Egyptian electronic payment company, Furi, was planning to issue 36% of its capital to be listed on the Egyptian stock exchange.
Hermes said in a statement that the list included a special offer for institutional investors outside the United States, Australia, Canada and Japan, and a public offering for individual investors in Egypt, noting that both offers would be at the same price.
Earlier, Furi's chief executive said that the company had begun preparations for the establishment of the Egyptian stock market in 2019 or early 2020.
Founded in 2009, Furey also works in the field of banking technology and provides financial services to individuals and businesses.
Owned by about 5 local, foreign and Arab investment funds.
