Google has removed 22 fraudulent apps from its official Android app store, "Google Play", after installing more than two million times among users.
According to security badysts at Sophos, according to Arab Gateway for Technical News, these fraudulent applications are programmed to cheat on many smartphone models.
It is also able to generate false "clicks" on ad banners, generating illegal income for programmers and exhausting batteries.
The company has launched the malware called "Andr / Clickr-ad", and these applications come from a variety of young developers.
Google removed these apps from its store at the end of November.
The researchers discovered that applications were connecting to an attacker's server called mobbt.com, in order to download the ad fraud form, and applications were receiving a server command every 80 seconds.
The malware task was to open a window of 0 × 0 pixels so that the user could not observe, while continuing to repeatedly press advertisements and generating fraudulent income.
The direct result of any download of these applications is that their data and the battery life of their devices are consumed constantly, even if the application was closed, it was automatically activated in the background.
