Prime Minister Saad Hariri, who is in Washington, has received a call from President Michel Aoun to congratulate Eid al-Adha.
Earlier in the day, Hariri arrived in the US capital where he is expected to meet US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and several US officials.
He was received at the airport by the Lebanese ambbadador to the United States, Gabi Issa, and the United Nations, Amal Medalli.
