Brazilian prosecutors agreed with the police that there was no evidence of a case of rape against football star Neymar and asked the court to close the case.

Prosecutor Flavia Merlini told reporters: "It is impossible to know what happened when building four walls, we have his word against his word." "We decided to ask for closure of the file," she said, noting that the investigation could be reopened at any time if new elements were brought.

Brazilian police announced on July 30 that she did not have any evidence to follow the procedure. Neymar firmly denied the rape charges of a Brazilian girl in a Paris hotel last May.

The issue has been overshadowed by fierce sports football titles in the country, notably on the sidelines of the recent Copa America, won by Brazil at home and missing Neymar, injured.

The 26-year-old admitted that she wanted to have bad with Neymar, but she did not expect her relationship in Paris to take a violent bend.

In a video revealed to Brazilian media, the conflict between the most expensive player in the world and the model slapped, as he reacted by pushing her away.
