The Saudi Ministry of Health, through the hospitals and health centers of Mecca, the Medina and the Holy Places, continued to provide high-quality specialist services to pilgrims during the pilgrimage season this year (1440 h).
The ministry pointed out that the number of pilgrims who benefited from specialized services in hospitals and health centers since the first day of the month of Dhu al-Qa'dah until the end of the tenth day of the same month reached (421852) pilgrims and needs, ie (36) open-heart surgery and (779) cardiac catheterization, (1998) dialysis and (103) laparoscopic operations, and (616) other operations, while (3450) pilgrims and need of hospitals were registered (11) births, while the number of beneficiaries of mobile clinics services until the morning of Eid 18065, pilgrims and needy.
In a related context, the Ministry of Health received, through the Mona Al-Jisr Hospital, 2508 pilgrims since the beginning of Eid, explaining that the outpatient department had received 1,721 pilgrims and needy, while the emergency department received 576 cases.
The Thermal Stress Department received 49 cases and 162 cases were admitted, of which 136 were recovered, while the hospital conducted 20 cases of hemodialysis.
According to the Ministry of Health, the hospital welcomes all pilgrims and other patients and provides them with the necessary medical services and interventions, distributing them medicines, as well as cases of pilgrims suffering from general stress, chronic diseases (such as pressure , diabetes, heart disease), asthma attacks, fatigue for their inability to tolerate the heat of the sun and congestion, and people with chronic diseases due to the stress of movement.
It should be mentioned that the hospital includes a number of medical teams in the departments of Emergency, Intensive Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine and Operations, and that their tasks consist of dealing with Emergency cardiac resuscitation cases within the department, in addition to the multiple injury department, consisting of a consultant in general surgery, a consultant Orthopedics, emergency medicine, anesthesia and vein surgery, whose tasks are to intervene quickly when needed.
