The independent financial statements of Housing and Development Bank for the first half of this year show a 7.8% increase in net income compared to the same period last year.
The bank achieved a net profit of EGP 1,072.184 billion for the six months ended June 2019, compared with EGP 994.214 million for the corresponding period.
Net profit for the same period decreased to 1.380,552 billion EGP from 1,604,209 million EGP during the same period.
The cost of deposits in the first half of the year was 1,868.672 billion pounds, compared to 1.518.951 billion pounds in the corresponding period.
Loans and similar products for the same period amounted to 3,249.224 billion Egyptian pounds, compared to 3.126.60 billion Egyptian pounds for the corresponding period.
The earnings per share for the first half of the year was 7.57 EGP compared to 7.01 EGP for the corresponding period of the previous year.
