ROME (Reuters) – The Hungarian Grand Prix, stage 12 of the Formula 1 World Championship, with British champion Lewis Hamilton and second-seeded Frenchman Pierre Gbadley (Red Bull), ruined the rain.
In the first half, the Dutchman Max Verchtapen (Red Bull) and the Ferrari driver in the world, Sebastian Vettel, German world champion four times. In the second, Gbadley went to Verstauben, the five-time world champion Mercedes, Hamilton, and the Finnish Valteri Potas.
"We were strong during both periods in dry and wet conditions, and I'm happy with the car and what we achieved," said Gbadley after the second period.
Hamilton said in turn: "It does not make sense to drive and you know that the weekend will be completely dry."
The focus is on Verstapen after winning two of the last three races, narrowing the gap to 63 points with Hamilton, who was ill at the last Hockenheim Award.
Fireshtaben is third with 22 points from Veltieri Botas (McLaren) in the second division. He did not win the last German trophy for the first time this season.
