LONDON (Reuters) – Egyptian star Mohamed Salah believes his team will be able to return to the championship crown this season after a six-year absence on the podium.
Liverpool's last trophy was the Professional English League Cup (Carabao) in the 2011-2012 season at the expense of Cardiff City.
"My goal last season was not to beat the league record in the Premier League, but to achieve something for the club too," Salah told Sky Sports.
"We were about to win the Champions League last season, but that's football, we have to accept the result."
"At the moment, I can not say that my goal is to get individual numbers, but I'm looking forward to winning the championship," he said.
"It will be great for us as a team and as players."
"It's also a dream for the city and for the fans," Salah said. I think this season we can do something. "
Salah has played in 19 games this season with the Ridd in all competitions, scoring 9 goals and 4 more.
