Swedish club Aik Solna has offered Captain Eric Johansson's DNA, retired captain, to sell to fans wishing to be a Christmas present at an unprecedented event.

Johansson retired from football in February at the age of 38 due to heart problems.

The DNA, which contains the genes of the former star Johansson, can be obtained by the public after being embalmed for 500 years.

A total of 371 DNA samples from the AEK Solna leader were sold for £ 307, or around $ 400 for the sample, with the badge he was wearing and printed on.

Johansson commented on the proposed sale of his DNA: "The DNA put up for sale will not be 100% germ-free for my genes, only 99% to prevent abuse."

Johansson left AEK Solna to join the youth team of Bayern Munich in 1997 and was listed on the list until he joined the Bavarian Premier team before leaving in 2000 .

Johansson played for Blackburn for four years, two years for Leicester in the English Premier League and with Aik Solna for 11 years and won three tournaments.
