Prime Minister Saad Hariri said the next step was to boost the productive sectors.
He added at the launch of the national campaign of support to the Lebanese industry: "The campaign we are launching today puts an end to the existing controversy and, yes, we have an industry in Lebanon".
Hariri said that industrial products with added value and a competitive advantage in the domestic and external market should be strengthened and said that they would work in the next step to reduce production costs, open markets, complete the industrial cities and attract investment.
He said the productive sectors were a coherent link as the development of the commercial sector led to the development of the tourism and agricultural sectors, but there are no such sectors without a banking sector. and sound financial without technological development.
He emphasized that we are often enemies of ourselves in our way of looking at the problems of the country and that those responsible must take responsibility.
The Minister of Industry, Wael Abu Faour, of the presidential palace, praised the spirit of martyr Pierre Gemayel, recalling a campaign to love Lebanon and its industries.
According to the McKinsey report, 195,000 Lebanese live in the sector, which shows that a 1% growth in the sector generates 1,000 new jobs.
He pointed out that the value of exports increased in the first half of 2019, or $ 660 million, an increase of 4% over 2018, and the number of industrial licenses to 286 licenses, which reflects the new dynamic launched in this sector.
He emphasized that this campaign aimed to inform the consumer of the availability and quality of Lebanese products and to motivate him to support the sector by providing him with the initial supply process.
He added: "This campaign disavows the nascent political fascism and escalation in Lebanon, with the fullness of the sectarian rise and the threat that this represents for Lebanon"
