Increase the level of preparation and strengthen control over hotels and restaurants

The Minister of Health and Population chaired this morning a meeting in El Alamein, Matrouh governorate, to review the comprehensive health insurance plan of Eid Al-Adha for the governorates of the Republic, notably Matrouh and Alexandria.

This occurred at a meeting held by the Minister with Dr. Mustafa Ghanima, head of the therapeutic medicine sector, Dr. Amr Rashid, deputy head of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority, the Dr. Ibrahim Hbadan, Head of Central Administration Critical and Urgent Care. And a number of ministry leaders.

Dr. Khalid Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Information Affairs and the Ministry's official spokesperson, said the minister had examined the capacity of hospitals and health units to provide the best medical service to patients, in addition to the ambulance deployment and deployment plan, She was rebadured that things were going according to plan, praising the efforts of all medical team members.

Mujahid added that the minister has ordered to tighten control over restaurants, hotels and shops that provide food and drink to citizens, and to ensure that employees have health certificates and are free of disease infectious diseases, as well as prosecution in the event of an offense.

Mujahid added that the minister had stressed the need to have a medical team on duty 24 hours a day during the holidays, especially because of the increasing number of holidaymakers in summer.

The Ministry of Health announced the establishment of a comprehensive health insurance plan including the payment of 2,227 equipped ambulances, distributed at public gatherings, parks, gardens, mosques and places of worship in all governorates of the Republic, as well as 10 river ambulances, as well as two helicopters on motorways and large poles. In addition to increasing the level of readiness in all ambulance facilities, to maximize the level of readiness in all hospitals and cancel all kinds of leave for medical teams during the celebration.
