Iran beat Qatar 2-1 on Monday during a friendly match at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha as part of its preparations for the 2019 Asian Cup.

It was the tenth and final friendly match of Qatar before the continental tournament, where they suffered their third defeat after defeating Algeria on Thursday in Doha, while Uzbekistan's first defeat in Tashkent was 2-0 last month.
Qatar finished the match with 10 men since the 54th minute after Pedro Miguel's dismissal.
Qatar coach Felix Sanchez has decided to give players a 48-hour break from Tuesday before resuming training on Thursday and leaving for Al Ain in the UAE on Jan. 5 with the official opening of the Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates until February 1st.
Annabi is part of Group E with Lebanon, North Korea and Saudi Arabia, while Iran is part of Group D alongside Iraq, Vietnam and Yemen.
