CAIRO (Reuters) – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced Tuesday the dates of the group matches for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2021 in Cameroon.

The African Union has already announced the qualifying system, starting with the round-trip on 7 and 15 October for the lower ranked teams, then the continent's teams are divided into 12 groups, each comprising 4 teams. teams qualified for the first and second straight to the Africa Championship.

According to a press release, CAF set 11 November for the first round, the second round on 19 of the same month and the third round on 31 August 2020.

The fourth qualifying round will take place on 8 September 2020, the fifth will be from 5 to 13 October 2020 and the sixth and final round will take place from 9 to 17 November 2020.

Algeria won the last title of the tournament in Egypt, beating Senegal in the final with a 1-0 victory.
