Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Brazilian goaltender Alison Baker will be unavailable after being injured in the opening game of the Premier League.
Klopp said the injury to Allison 's muscle would keep him "for a few weeks to come" from the Super Cup match against Chelsea Europe on Wednesday, the Associated Press reported.
Allison came out of the first half of Friday's 4-1 win over Norwich to replace new goaltender Adrian.
"Allison has not hurt much in his career, so I'd like to wait a bit to see how he's going to evolve on this issue, but he will not be here until a few weeks ahead," Klopp said on the website of the team.
After facing Chelsea in Istanbul on Wednesday, Liverpool should face Southampton Saturday and Arsenal a week later.
Liverpool begins its campaign to defend the title of the Champions League on September 17 or 18 in the Champions League.
