Farouk El-Fishawy was born on February 5, 1952 in one of the villages of the center Sars Al-Layyan, in the governorate of Menoufia, Egypt. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree at Ain Shams University, he joined his high school of drama arts.
He began his artistic career with small roles in several series, then his big start was in 1980, when he participated in the series "My dear sons Shukr" directed by Mohamed Fadel, then he knew the roles of the championship after his role in the movie "Suspicious". The last of the most prolific stars of the eighties and nineties of the twentieth century played many roles, where he played the role of King Farouk, Shahat and many important roles.
Al-Fishawi has won numerous awards throughout his career and was the most prominent face at the opening of most Arab art festivals. In 2007, he won the National Council of Human Rights Award for Best Artistic and Media Work. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai, received the 4th Arab Forum for Arab Producers. The last prize was in February 2019, when Farouq Al Fishawi received the Film Leadership Award at the 67th Catholic Center Film Festival.
The last of his artistic works was his participation in the play "King Lear", starring Yahya Fakhrani. Farouk al-Fishawi died on July 25 from a liver coma after battling cancer.
