Lebanon hopes to rectify the game when it faces China on Sunday in the crucial round of Asian qualifying and Oceanian qualifying for the 2019 World Cup.
Lebanon missed an important opportunity to qualify for the finals in China next year, losing to South Korea 84 to 71 last Thursday, while it was ahead by 11 points on some periods.
China, already qualified for the finals as host country, will enter the match for revenge and the public to avenge their defeat against Lebanon 92-88.
Three other teams in the group will qualify with China.
"We played well in the first half but we lost our concentration in the second half, so we lost to South Korea," said Lebanon coach Slobodan Subotić.
Subotic relies on Ali Haidar, who had a 19-point lead against South Korea, seven rebounds and two badists. Ahmed Ibrahim added 14 points.
The Lebanese coach also won the match with captain Jean-Abdel-Nour, captain Rodrick Aql, Ali Mezher and Ahmed Ibrahim.
On the other hand, Jordan should face a difficult match outside of their country during their trip to South Korea, while New Zealand, the leaders of the group, will face an easy home game against Syria, whose hopes of qualifying for the final have faded.
Jordan sank 86-77 against South Korea, while New Zealand swept Syria 107-66 in both matches.
New Zealand leads the group, followed by South Korea and Lebanon in third.
China progressed to fourth place with a difference in distance from Jordan and Syria, which suffered its seventh defeat in sixth and final place.
