A magnitude 5.8-magnitude earthquake southeast of Iran rocked early Monday after three earthquakes in the country the previous day, including an earthquake that injured some 290 people in the country. west, according to Iran's official media.

"It was reported that 25 people were injured during their flight after the earthquake and taken to hospitals in Kerman City," said Majid Saidi, Crisis Management Officer for Kerman Province.

The US Geological Survey estimated the magnitude of the quake at about 5.5 degrees and stated that its epicenter was 37 km east of Kerman City.
