Lebanon beat Syria 2-1 Friday in the second round of group A of the 2019 West Asia tournament in Iraq.
The Syrian team progressed by Ahmed Al-Doni in (D.45), before the return of the Lebanese team with two goals by Nader Matar in (80) and Hbadan Shiito in (90).
Iraq took the lead with 6 points in two games, beating Palestine 2-1 earlier in the day, against 3 points for Lebanon and Palestine, while the rest of Syria and Yemen is free of points.
The group's third round takes place on Friday, during which Syria will meet Yemen, Lebanon and Palestine.
The first place in each group will qualify for the final on August 14 at the Karbala stadium.
