A 2-2 win over Espanyol and Villarreal took place on Sunday during the 22nd day of the Spanish Liga.
Villarreal scored two goals with Vicente Ibora and Santi Cazorla in a penalty kick in the 37th and 65th minutes, respectively.
But Espanyol found its balance and scored with two goals thanks to the Italian Daniel Bonera, player Villarreal by mistake, and Venezuelan Roberto Rosales at 75th and 81st minutes, respectively.
With the draw, Villarreal increased his lead to 19 points, in 19th place, and Espanyol increased his score to 25 points in 14th place in the Liga standings.
