The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) released Friday the first video recorded by Insight Probe, showing sounds from Mars.
The probe, the first to have detected the vibrations of the planet, landed on November 26 as it entered the atmosphere of the planet Mars, then into a plain at the surface after a 480 million-mile drive kilometers in six months and two weeks.
This trip to Mars is the first since 2012 when the American probe "Corusity" landed on its surface and is still trying to trace a life that could have appeared in the past.
The seismic device carried by the probe listened to the underground movement, monitoring the waves caused by the repeated meteorites on the surface of Mars, the disintegration of the layers and the vibrations below the surface.
"The probe will enter the Martian atmosphere like a rocket, and we can not fix anything," said Tom Hoffman, NASA's shuttle supervisor.
Although the volcanoes of Mars have been weakening for a long time, "we can hear the sound of deep underground lava movement," said Sue Smarikar, a senior scientist.
