Maguire to Manchester United officially

Leicester defender Harry Maguire officially joined Manchester United during the current summer transfer period.

Manchester United, via its official website, has announced the signing of Maguire, for six seasons, with the possibility of an extension for another year. However, United did not disclose the value of the agreement, while press reports confirmed that the deal had been made between the two clubs to pay 80 million pounds.

Once officially announced, Maguire will become the most expensive defender in history, surpbading the Dutchman Virgil Van Dijk, who left Southampton Liverpool for 75 million pounds in January 2018.

Leicester, via the club's official website, thanked Maguire for his contribution to the continued growth of the past two seasons. He also thanked the club for its commitment to his club and his teammates during recent negotiations with United.
