Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was released last month after paying 15 million pounds ($ 19 million) in compensation, according to English media reports released on Thursday.
With the last chapter of relations between United and Portugal, Mourinho, 55, the latter can resume training, information suggesting that he could return to Real Madrid.
According to the English Sun newspaper, United accepted the terms of payment after a meeting between Portuguese commercial agent George Mendish and Vice President Ed Woodward.
A source close to Mourinho, linked to a contract with United until the end of the 2019-2020 season with an extension of an extra season, told the Daily Mail that both parties had reached an agreement consensual.
"Mourinho's deal with Manchester United is no problem." There is an agreement on everything, "she said." Jose can get a new job, but he's in no hurry. "
"There were no discussions, but they (Real) called José after the dismissal of (Julien) Lobetigi in October," the paper said, referring to the possibility that Mourinho would return to the club. He had coached between 2010 and 2013. He told them that he was the Manchester United manager and that he was totally committed to the club. "
Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari was named successor of Lopetti, which allowed the club to win the title of the Liga, the Spanish Cup and the Super Cup.
United had sacked Mourinho on Dec. 18, ending the controversial coaching season he's been overseeing since summer 2016, after posting the worst start to the season in 28 years.
The Red Devils team has been handed over to former Norwegian player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer until the end of the season.
