Former Brazilian international Maxwell resigned his position as sports coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain to return to Brazil and appear before local police on charges of badaulting his ex-wife, reported the press yesterday.
According to the newspaper "Le Parisien", Maxwell would have been obliged to stay in his country to defend himself in a personal matter preventing him from performing his duties within the Parisian club. The former Brazilian midfielder has held his position at SG since he retired from football in 2017.
