McDonald's recognizes a shocking truth!

McDonald's, a fast food company, has announced that the "green" paper glossy lollipops, which he had started using last year, could not be easily recycled.

The American company has replaced plastic ice lollies by paper presses, all over the UK and Ireland, to protect the environment from plastic waste, but recently admitted that new ice lollies were also difficult to refine and had to be sorted with ordinary waste.

The paper adds that the quality of the paper used in the manufacture of lollipops can be improved, but that the thickness of these lollipops makes the treatment process difficult. The paper lollipops manufacturer is Transcend Packaging, based in Wales.

At the same time, the US company confirmed that it was currently working to find a solution to the problem and that sorting lollipops in public waste was a temporary matter, adding that paper waste was not currently in landfills, but to generate electricity.

The company's decision to forgo the plastic lollipops came on the heels of the decision taken in April 2018 in the UK to ban the use of plastic ice lollies because single-use plastic products require hundreds of years to break down or even be recycled industrially.
