Marcos Schaffer and Frank Marcus Weber joined the Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix team following the availability of two vacancies.
On May 22, he stepped down as chairman of Daimler Group, Mercedes' parent company, while Bodo Obir stepped down as Daimler's chief financial officer.
At the meeting of the board of directors in Stuttgart, Schaefer, head of the Mercedes research group, was appointed non-executive chairman.
Lauda has been a three-time Formula 1 world champion, taking the position of non-executive president, but Mina died in May.

In the same month, Dieter Zetsche stepped down as chairman of Daimler and Mercedes-Benz, head of the car division, where he will be replaced by Kalenius.
Schaffer has been the non-executive director of Mercedes since March 11th.
Weber, deputy director of development at Daimler, was appointed non-executive director of the Mercedes team by direct decision at the same meeting.
Toto Wolf, Mercedes officials, Berta Seger and René Berger will join the board.
