Microsoft has patented a new USB C magnetic system designed to support Tablet Surface devices to enable faster, smoother charging and better data transfer support.
According to the new version, the USB C will have a magnetic socket that will allow a more fluid experience of charging and transmitting data from tablet PCs. Microsoft is expected to upgrade to Surface Surface 6, using USB C in its Surface Pro range to simulate Surface Go devices.
Microsoft patented its patent last May under the name "Magnetically Activated Locking Mechanism". The USB C plug system comes with a magnet on both sides and a magnet is also available in the tablet port. This magnet supports fast connection between the USB C cable and the device, without much effort to insert the plug into the port, or the output of the plug without damaging the system.
